General Information

Current membership stands at about 3,000 persons. On Sundays some 600 persons receive Holy Communion during regular Services.

Christian education and spiritual development

In addition to the teaching element in regular worship, Bible study is conducted once per week. Fellowship Groups meet regularly for prayer and study. Special sessions have been conducted on the Stewardship study commissioned by the Diocese of Jamaica. Parish Retreats have been held at the beginning of Lent since 1999. In May/July 2000 St. Andrew's introduced the ALPHA programme and this has taken place every year from 2001 to 2012.

Music ministry

Music is an important aspect of worship. There are two choirs. The Senior choir retains the traditional style of Church music and utilizes chants, original settings and special compositions produced for organ accompaniment. The Youth Choir utilizes Caribbean settings and compositions with keyboard, congo drums, steel pans, tambourines, saxophone and recorders. The variety of musical settings enhances and compliments worship. The Church has a fine cadre of organists who are available for Services and special occasions. The pipe organ is maintained in good condition and is occasionally used for professional performances and choral singing.
